We would love to help you rescue a perfect pet!Now you would think that with a name like Orca this guy would be HUGE or a killer, right?, well, you'd be wrong on both counts! Cute Orca was named that because of his coloring - that's all. He was found at the Reflections Apartment complex off Lynnhaven Rd and Potters Rd. He was brought in by a concerned citizen so we got him up to date on all his shots and waited for his people to come find him.....and waited and waited. Sadly, no one seemed to be missing their sweet boy. That's a shame too, because Orca is one sweet boy. Understandably, he is a bit shy here at the shelter, but he warms up quickly and is just a pleasure to look at. He loves head rubs and will let you rub all over his head and back but touch that belly and you've got a swattin' a coming! He swats, swats and just for good measure, swats again but then asks for more head rubs!!. My guess is his tummy may be off limits but he has other very fine qualities. He may warm up to tummy rubs in time but honestly, some cats just don't and it's really no big deal considering how adorable he is. Come visit Orca today, he has been shelter neutered, micorchipped and FevL tested negative so he can come home with you today. Watch him blossom into a whale of a great pet for you!! He is located in our cage room at 341 S. Birdneck Rd.Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center has wonderful pets available for adoption. As of December 6, all animals are now at the new shelter at 341 Birdneck Road. The former shelter on Leroy Drive is now closed.
