Calli Fragilistic is a 1 years old Calico Cat. Hello my name is Calli Fragilistic! Some might even call me SUPER Calli Fragilistic! I arrived here in May of xxxx as a transfer from another shelter in North Carolina. I was picked up as a stray off the street. When I arrived here I was spayed and combo tested for both FIV and feline leukemia. I ended up testing positive for FIV but the staff here loves me very much and are committed to finding a forever home for me. FIV is the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. In short it is a virus that infects cats and causes a deficiency in the immune system. A cat that is infected by the virus is described as an FIV positive cat meaning that the test used to detect the virus in the cat showed a positive result. FIV positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. Please read the attached information on my cage card. I promise it is not as scary as it sounds and it is NOT transferrable to humans or non felines! I am one of the sweetest most playful cats you will ever meet and I would really love to be given a chance at a home beyond these shelter walls.
